Hi Princess, yea great words- Great God-love Jo xx
Reply:Haha your christan
Reply:Maybe it will be in the next Mormon hymn book.
Reply:God is.
Reply:Their are many songs that can be deticated to God but their first intended purpose is not to God. I believe that God can make his own music and not take it from the secular world to have good songs.

One time i heard a song from "Alicia Keys" (I've Got You) at my Ex-gf church but they switched the words around and put Jesus in it, My spirit was uneasy because i wasn't thinking about God when they were singing the song, it made me thing about other secular music that i remember. It really didn't seem right.
Reply:And your point is...?
Reply:I'm pretty sure that Cartman proved that almost ANY song can be made christian by replacing certain words (like "baby") with Jesus...
Reply:Are you aware of just how many members of the LDS church are in the entertainment industry? The link below shows ALL of them...but the 2 links here show singers (Gladys Knight) and actors (Rick Schroder):

Reply:U2 is all about God and this atheist's favorite band.

Judas and Jesus for one:

"I took the money

I spiked your drink

You miss too much these days if you stop to think

You lead me on with those innocent eyes

You know I love the element of surprise

In the garden I was playing the tart

I kissed your lips and broke your heart

You

You were acting like it was the end of the world" ~ Until the End of the World

See also "With or Without You", "Gloria", "Pride", "Wake Up Dead Man", "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For".

"40" from War is ripped right from Psalm 40 - look it up.

Their last album, perhaps their most openly Christian, has a few explicitly Christian songs; the album ends with the track "Yaweh".

If you dig music about God and Christ, but you perfer more artistic and poetic lyrics then the overt and often overbearing styles of certain Christian bands, U2 is dope. This is just a partial list.

Go to bed. It's late. You have to make all your children breakfast in the morning before church.

Well, except your atheist kids.
Reply:Oh brother.. I'm sorry, but that is COMPLETELY lame!
